We are a group of dedicated individuals who work together to plan events, organise volunteer opportunities, and advocate for important causes. As a member of our committee, you will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, meet new people, and make a positive impact in our community.

Able to work collaboratively with other Committee Members.

Attend at least 75 percent of all ordinary meetings.

Be a good listener and attuned to the interests of members and other interest groups.

Can raise ideas or concerns with the committee where they arise.

Provide timely and consistent advice and support regarding operations and events.

Roles & Responsibilities

Nominations are now open and we are seeking enthusiastic candidates to apply for the following roles.

    • Chair Committee meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively.

    • Arrange committee meetings and send out invitation via calendar entry with a zoom/teams link.

    • Act as a signatory for the Club in all legal purposes and financial purposes.

    • Goals and relevant strategic and business plans are developed to achieve the goals. 

    • Serve as a spokesperson when required.

    • Assist in the development of partnerships with sponsors, review funding opportunities with local and state government.

    • Be forward thinking and committed to meeting the overall goals.

    • Ensure any compliance requirements and deadlines regarding incorporated status are met.

  • • Willing to step in for the President where needed including chairing meetings

    • Be able to raise concerns with the President where they arise

    • In the event of the President being unable to fulfill his/her duties to step into that role

    • In the absence of the President, chair Committee meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively

    • Be an alternate signatory for the Club for legal purposes and financial purposes.

    • Support the President and Company Secretary with any compliance requirements and deadlines regarding incorporated status are met.

  • • Manage and lodge all Consumer Affairs lodgments and notifications

    • Maintain the business registration

    • Maintain members records

    • Manage and respond to communication via email and/or website

    • Manage Minutes of Committee meetings, including either recording the Minutes

    • Develop meeting agendas in consultation with other Committee members and distribute prior to the meeting

    • Be responsible for ensuring that accurate and sufficient documentation exists to meet legal requirements

    • Ensure that proper notification is given of Committee and Club meetings as specified in the rules

    • Manage the general correspondence of the Committee except for such correspondence assigned to others

    • Be an alternate signatory for the Club for legal purposes and financial purposes

  • • Provide advice on the finances to the Committee

    • Receipt of all incoming monies

    • Pay all accounts

    • Maintain accurate records of all income and expenditure

    • Ensure that all receipts and payments concur with bank deposits and withdrawals

    • Monthly financial reports – present at monthly committee meetings

    • Issue yearly membership fee

    • Keep accurate record of all membership payments

    • Be a signatory on bank account
